Regarding COVID-19

March 17, 2020 2 min read

[Update 05-01-2020]

Effective May 3, Alameda County’s (in which BLOX Racing is located) shelter in place mandate will be extended until May 31.

Although some restrictions will be eased, BLOX Racing will continue to operate normally but with a limited staff, not allow any walk-in or will call pick-ups and follow cleaning and disinfecting procedures.

[Update 04-16-2020]

Effective immediately, the City of Fremont has issued an Executive Order mandating the use of face coverings at certain essential places of business to protect workers and the public and prevent community spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19), including any and all customers, consumers, visitors and delivery service workers within City limits.

Here is an excerpt from that Order… All customers/consumers and visitors of the identified businesses and organizations must also wear face coverings to provide additional protection for employees and other customers, and may be refused admission or service if they fail to wear a face covering. In addition, employers of all essential workers must permit their employees to wash their hands or use hand sanitizer at least every 30 minutes. [READ EXECUTIVE ORDER]

As originally stated, BLOX Racing will continue to prohibit walk-in and will-call orders and follow stringent cleaning and disinfecting procedures.

[Update 03-17-2020]

Effective 12:01AM this morning, seven Bay Area counties began sweeping shelter-in-place restrictions effectively confining millions of residents to their homes for three weeks with exceptions for essential work, food or other needs. Read the full text from here: Alameda County Health Department

BLOX Racing will continue to process online retail and wholesale orders during this time, prohibit walk-in and will-call orders and follow stringent cleaning and disinfecting procedures.

BLOX Racing will continue to monitor developments as they are provided from local, state and federal agencies.

Message regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19)

As California, the US and the rest of the world continue to grapple with how to respond to Covid-19, we would like to reassure you that we are also taking steps to help slow the spread of the virus.

To help slow the spread of the virus, and limit the risk of our own employees, we are asking many employees who perform administrative functions to work from home. However, our front-line employees in sales and operations will remain hard at work in order to process wholesale and online retail orders for shipping.

Out of an abundance of caution, we will temporarily prohibit all walk-in and will-call orders, including door-to-door solicitation and business related meetings. Any orders will now be shipped and meetings canceled or rescheduled to a later date.

Beginning today, non-contact receiving will be implemented.

In addition, the following steps are being reinforced to ensure the safety of our front-line employees:

*Asking employees to stay home if they or anyone in their household feels unwell
*Wearing masks and Nitrile gloves
*Providing additional cleaning and sanitizing supplies
*Cleaning all surfaces multiple times a day

We will continue to monitor local, state and federal recommendations and reevaluate as needed or required.
